Hi, I'm starting a systematic literature review on the contribution of lubricating oil to primary and secondary organic aerosol emissions from combustion engines. If someone is interested to join this effort in any way you're more than welcome. We could start working on it together or if you know of any good references that I could include I would be happy to hear.

Worton et al. stated in 2014 that lubricating oil dominates primary organic aerosol emissions from motor vehicles. Eichler et al. stated in 2017 that lubricating oil is a major constituent of ship exhaust particles. Yu et al. determined in 2012 that lubricating oil contribution to particulate matter from a commercial aircraft ranged from 5 % to 100 %. Carbone et al. summarized in 2019 that diesel fuel and lubricating oil produced similar amounts of particulate matter from a locomotive engine. Contribution of lubrication oil to secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation might be missing from the scientific literature.

Have a great day!
