I am attempting to isolate neutrophils from bovine whole blood and then western blot for l-selectin from neutrophil protein. I am getting bands for bovine l-selectin around 25 kDa, but I've had some difficulties finding any information about why the bands might be occurring at such a low molecular weight (normal is about 42 kDa, with recombinants found at 90-100 kDa).
If you have any experience with l-selectin, specifically in bovines, please send me message - I would greatly appreciate it. I can send along more specifics and images of my blots.
