Dear colleagues, I am looking for a reliable yet affordable electro-chemical measurement tool. through which I can analyze voltages, currents and impedances of an electro-chemical setup. I used to have a Solartron 1260 potentio-stat and impedance analyzer, but they are currently too costly for my new workplace.
Estimated budget is around. 5000US$
Professor Phil Baran and his group invented Electrasyn which I believe is around $2000.

Upon a detailed look at the videos of ElectraSyn it really looks a handy and relatively cheaper instrument for Cyclic Voltammetry studies. I am not sure if it can measure OCVs, and Current Densities and Impedance for now. Hope they include this feature soon.
Maybe try to buy used equipment? Another idea: In former times, Martin Schramm at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf, Germany, has developed cheap and easy to handle potentiostats (former institute of J.-W. Schultze), that are capable of doing cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic processing, OCV measurements, capacity measurements etc. We bought a so-called SimPot (Simple Potentiostat) a few years ago, and I am quite happy with it.
