I am looking for an image processing software, that can reconstruct a high resolution SEM 2D-image of a porous Ni-GDC anode, to a 3D representation. The intent is to separate the phases Ni,Ce,Pores, measure tortuosity, porosity etc.
I have contacted people from Avizo(Mercury Computer Systems), but their license will cost above 13000 US$. I do not have the means (financial and time) for this. Can anyone recommend an alternative?

Could you post examples of the 2D images you have and the kind of 3D results you expects? Do you have a stack of 2D images or a single one?

I am looking into these Image J options, I however do not know if Image J can quanitfy a certain phase e.g. Porosity, Tortuosity. etc.
To Mr. Bruno Martin. I have a top and a side 2Dview.
An example of a desired result is attached in the file below. Basically by Avizo one can reconstruct the 3D by primarly a single image projected over the 3Axes and then it extrudes them equally in all directions, thus resulting in a 3D reconstruction
