Lime Buffering Capacity of acid soils: conversion from cmol (OH-)/kg/pH to mg CaCO3/kg/pH ?

Hi, colleagues. I am encountering a problem regarding the calculation of lime buffering capacity. You see that the lime buffering capacity (LBC) of soils has the unit of cmol (OH-)/kg/pH. However, some authors converted this into mg CaCO3/kg/pH. What did they base on for the conversion ? Pls help. Thanks
