miRNA overexpression in suspension cells using lentiviral system shows variable transduction efficiencies. The transduction was done after performing viral titrations and maintaining equal virion loads/MOIs. When looked at the number of GFP+ cells to determine transduction efficiencies using flow cytometry, the numbers were different for different miRNAs. What could be possible reasons of variable miRNA uptake by cells. There are literatures addressing preferential uptake of miRNAs by tissues, but what could be the underlying mechanisms?
