Hi,
I was wondering if we can activate Jurkat cells with LPS (normally yes as they would have TLR4).
What molecule we could analyse to monitor the activation? TNFa? Others? By ELISA (Which kit)?
Or Reporter cell lines (SEAP from Invivogen), other thoughts?
Available kit (ready and easy to use ) could be available to do that?

Is it absolutely necessary for you to use Jurkat cell lines? They are not very secretory. I measured IL-2 as an activation marker for Jurkat cells. The results were good. I had to use restricted cell numbers for my experiments due to costing issues. All cytokine ELISA kits from R&D systems are excellent since they are very sensitive.
