I've synthesized hyroxyapatite and carbonated apatite and I need these cards ( PDF card #9-432 and PDF card #35-180) to analyze my XRD results. Does anyone know how I can get them?
The cited card numbers belong to patterns of the hydroxyapatite family once deposited by some author.
The files on any crystallographic database are real samples. They are deposited by their authors, subjected to any effect due to isomorphic or interstitial substitution, particle size, strain, or another sort of effect.
Therefore, you may check the results of your work with any free available database, such as the American Mineralogist Database (http://rruff.geo.arizona.edu/AMS/amcsd.php), Crystallographic Open Database (http://www.crystallography.net/cod/) that will correspond to a natural or synthetic sample deposited by the authors.
There is no available database with only synthetic pure standard materials or mineralogical phases. All reference phases are synthetic or natural samples.
Consider the effects already visible in the CIF files used as references, may not correspond to the same you may identify in your sample.
Wagner Da Nova Mussel provided a great answer. Fairly comprehensive answer was provided in multiple other threads for databases which I direct you to them.
In general, you can look at places like the crystallographic open database (COD) or American Mineralogist. SREC also provides a complete and upkept list of free crystallographic databases. These will allow you to search the composition you are looking for. The only caveat is that you need to check the structures that you use, with something like VESTA.
