I don't really understand your question.
Could you clarify some points:
i) what kind of animal are you interesting on? Only fish, because it's described that some venomous snake are still "dangerous" after death... By the way, if you consider a venom constituted by peptides and miniproteins, degradation and inactivation processes are really slow.
ii) "Useful for the research purpose" Generally people work with lyophilised venoms or collected directly to the field... If this question is related to your work, Why you can not obtain fresh sample?

1) my work is on fish, and i am dealing only with dead fish... i am collecting near the coastal landing centers and the fish has venomous dorsal, pelvic spines, so i just got this doubt whether it will loss its property or not
2) i cant obtain fresh sample, because the fish is so ambitious and very difficult to handle. though it is available in aquarium as an ornamental one its cost is high, and i need at least 100 more. i am just collecting those spine sample from fish which is in the waste, but i wonder those spines really posses the venom inside hours after death.

I would say, if you are not sure about the activity, test it (enzymatic assay or in animals).
By the way, I heard that fish venoms is really sensitive to heat for example. If your fish stay for a wild under the sun or at high temperatures... I think also most enzymes could be denatured.
I don't know really about you daily work, but could you ask to some fisherman to bring you this species?
If not, maybe you have to find a alternative. A good project is a project you can handle completely...

I have some experience of Snake, spider, and scorpion venom. To collect best quality of venom we usually have used healthy animals. If you use freshly frozen animal (Healthy fish) it may solve your problem.
