I made a formulation which includes 5% dextrose, 10% Cremophor EL and 10% Ethanol (aqueous solution, plus tested compound). It was used for oral administration of compound.
Is this compositions suitable also for i.p. injection? Any advice should be of great importance!

I found a very nice paper "Preclinical formulations for discovery and toxicology: physicochemical challenges" by Seshadri Neervannan (http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1517/17425255.2.5.715?journalCode=iemt20). In table 7 it is shown that 10% EtOH and 10% Cremophor EL has already been used by other researchers. Do you think, the formulation is OK if I exclude 5% dextrose from it?
If you want to do formulations for direct blood contact then you first find out dextrose ,cremophor and EtOH form in blood after digestion by oral to liver then liver to blood . Then think for formulations thanks
The problem is not with dextrose. You should calculate if the formulation isotonic. You should investigate about the safety of cremophore iv route.

If you fixe the safe concentration of cremophore in i.p. You might be able to prepare your safe formulation
