Hello,

I’m currently culturing fibroblasts, and I’ve noticed some unusual behavior. While some of the cells are growing well, others appear to have "exploded," and the media becomes cloudy. However, it doesn’t look like a typical contamination to me, and most of the "debris" could be removed with a wash. Additionally, the viability is not impaired and seems to be super high.

Below, you’ll find pictures taken "before" and "after" washing, as well as images from another day for comparison.

It’s possible that this could be a contamination, but I used the same media, PBS, and other reagents for another cell clone, and those cells are behaving normally. I’m unsure when or how this contamination might have occurred.

I’m curious if anyone has any insights into what could be happening. Thanks!
