In his dissertation, Vyacheslav Lysov tries to establish connection between Petrov-Einstein equations to Navier-Stokes equations. (PhD diss, 2014. From Petrov-Einstein to NavierStokes. Doctoral dissertation, Harvard University).
My question: Does it mean that Petrov-Einstein equations implies turbulence? Is there rigorous connection between Einstein equations and Navier-Stokes equations? What do you think?

this paper is of paramount importance.
the tensors in the GRT are derived from fluid dynamics considerations if we read the initial pages of the Meaning of Relativity of Einstein. The main difference with fluid dynamics is though that the medium considered is not a material medium, but an hypermedium which does allow energy and momenta to flow. The turbulence is mainly due to the nature of the material medium itself by the fact that there is friction between the particles of the fluid and the surroundings. It would be difficult to conceive turbulence in a non material hypermedium, maybe something else....
The paper seems to be a very good starting point to definitely define the background or space time or emptiness as a real hypermedium.

I am not up to date with NS but from what I remember no one has yet proven analytically that turbulence is in NS solutions. Any new developments in this area?
