There are some researchers who argue that the carrier of electromagnetic fields in Maxwell equations is superfluid. This hypothesis may be inspired by original paper by Maxwell which describes molecular vortices as the basis of his theory. Then one can assume that the molecular vortices are identical with superfluid vortices.
