In a recent paper published in Annals of Physics 360 (2015) 44-60, Hans Cruz, Dieter Schuch, Octavio Castaños, Oscar Rosas-Ortiz argue that it is possible to model quantum systems via a complex nonlinear Riccati equation.

The argument is rather complicated, but it is based on basic tenet that it is possible to model quantum systems using nonlinear classical dynamics. That is why nonlinear Riccati equation may be found useful here.

Do you think that such a model will work? What do you think?
