Look pearson correlation is the easiest choice for you to correlate your assay findings and careful and properly executed experiments would lead you significant correlation between phenolic constituents and antioxidant characters

If you are having the data of the SSR along with data set on any quality attribute then you can relate them, however, there are some conditions needed to be defined. Moreover, you can use step wise multiple regression analysis (stepwise MRA) for finding the associated alleles (SSR markers) with these traits. Beauty of this method is lie with the fact that it step by step build the regression model by adding the most significant markers associated with traits and deleting the nonsignificant in a relation.  Please go through following publication for more details
