Hey All,
I am currently trying to simulate an FMCW Lidar in Ansys HFSS which I used for RADAR Simulation and I cannot find a way out to perform Lidar based simulation. If anybody knows how to do it, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Hi,
How to Simulate an FMCW Lidar in Ansys HFSS
Step 1: Create a New Project
Open Ansys HFSS and click on "New Project".
Select "Transient" as the analysis type.
Step 2: Define the Geometry
Import the geometry of your FMCW Lidar system into HFSS.
The geometry should include the transmitter, receiver, and any other relevant components.
Step 3: Define the Materials
Assign appropriate materials to the different components of your system.
The materials should have accurate electrical properties.
Step 4: Define the Excitation
Define the excitation signal for the transmitter.
The excitation signal should be a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW).
Step 5: Define the Boundary Conditions
Define the boundary conditions for the simulation domain.
The boundary conditions should represent the environment in which the Lidar system will operate.
Step 6: Solve the Simulation
Click on "Solve" to start the simulation.
The simulation will calculate the electromagnetic fields and currents in the system.
Step 7: Post-Process the Results
Once the simulation is complete, you can post-process the results to obtain the desired information.
The post-processing options include visualizing the electromagnetic fields, calculating the scattering parameters, and generating reports.
Please recommend this reply if you find it useful , Thanks .
Thanks A Lot!
Is there any particular article/resource I can look into for this? It will be really helpful.
