PCL is soluble in chloroform, dichloromethane, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, toluene, cyclohexanone and 2-nitropropane at room temperature.

ALGINATE is a water-soluble polysaccharide and gives a viscous colloidal solution.(https://www.kimica-algin.com/alginate/usage/).

For making a solution of PCL and Alginte their molecular weight plays a key role. I have attached one article which explain how to make the solution on page 4.

a methodology could follow the paper here below, based on preparing a solid masterbatch of alginate and a plasticizer and then blending this solid in the melt with PCL.
