I get to know there is titration method for vitamin C, but how about vitamin A? I am looking for the alternative method instead of using HPLC. Is there any suggestion? Tq.
@MP: well, it will be at least not an acid/base titration. I also don't know of any other fast reaction that can be done with Retinol. Oxidation is too slow for titration.
At least, there is a reason why Vit. A is mostly analyzed by HPLC when it is in a difficult matrix and by HPLC or UV-spectrometry in pretty pure matrix.
I always wonder why people are seeking the difficult path when it is not necessary.
