I know there exist several research groups (including mine), who work on automated handling tasks inside the SEM.

Furthermore, most SEM companies provide GIS system which support a fully automated preparation of the lamella itself.

Even though the topic of an automated transfer is quite old, and many researches dealt with it, I still don’t know any serious or even commercial solution for an automated TEM lamella transfer.
