I came to know XPS analysis is the best method to confirm the formation of p-type ZnO:
1) Please suggests some article/literature which differentiates the n-ZnO and p-ZnO through XPS analysis?
2) Please explain reasons/mechanisms for the change in workfunction values between p-ZnO and n-ZnO?
Kindly suggest some best literature for the same.

I think there are two different questions here:
1) Did you dope ZnO with the desired material? I think XPS would be a good method to answer that question.
2) Is the new material actually p-type? For that, I think you need actual electrical measurements.
