As we know that, direct measurement of LDL-C (low density lipoproteins) requires sophisticated equipments. Hence, LDL concentration is being calculated through Friedewald equation in many laboratories. Apparently, Friedewald equation is not appropriate when triglyceride level increased more than 400mg/dl in case of human. Likewise, Is there any cut-off value for high triglycerides in rat (not to consider the Friedewald calculation)?
