I am interested in the research of the therapeutic effects of ayahuasca.The indigenous and shamanic rituals are well examined but I found only a few scientific articles.

I would suggest the name of Claudio Naranjo, a chilean psychiatric, that actually published a recente book named "Ayahuaska". Ediciones La Llave. Good luck!

Hello Ingo: there's plenty of scientific papers dealing with ayahuasca and it's therapeutic potential in different contexts (not only in amazonian shamanic scenarios). A few months ago, Springer launched a book called "The Therapeutic Use of Ayahuasca", which is an excellent source for info on this topic. Also, you could take a look at PubMed, there is a lot of interesting publications. 

Hello Alfredo: Thanks for your answer! Of course Naranjo is a HUGE name inside the ayahuasca research scene, and his recently published book is a wonderful item (got it!). But I'm looking for colleagues currently living/working in Chile who are interested in sharing ideas or maybe research projects.
