I have prepared a reduced reaction mechanism for a fuel but to match with experimental results of ignition delay time,laminar flame speed ,I need to adjust the frequency factor 6 to 7 times greater than the original one available with the detailed reaction mechanism,is this procedure is wrong? If I do this my reduced reaction mechanism shows favourable predictions.is there any limit to alter the frequency factor?

The limits (optimization potential) depends on the uncertainties*sensitivity in rate parameters of the simplified kinetic mechanism from which reduced kinetic mechanism is derived. From your question it is not clear how you came up with this reduced kinetic mechanism.

Thank you for your reply.I prepared a reduced reaction mechanism from a skeltal mechanism using drgep method, but during validation with exp.results it showed large deviations. To find important reactions I used multiplication factors 0.5&2 to pre exponential factor for sensitivity analysis and after determining important reactions to match with the experimental results of ignition delay time from literature(shock tube),I should multiply the pre exponential factor of the important reactions by 6 to 7 times than the original one.If I do so my reduced reaction mechanism predicts excellent results.

Dear Manoj,
You have to compared your experimental results with the computations from the skeltal mechanism. Now you need to optimize your skeltal mechanism and then reduce it. That is the usual procedure.
