Dunn's equation should not be used in the case of a battery-type electrode, according to a paper published in the journal "Phys. Chem. Lett. 2020, 11, 9846–9849 (ref. attached)" that I recently saw. However, I have seen numerous other recent papers where researchers have used this equation to calculate the capacitance and diffusive contribution. Is there another formula for calculating the capacitive contribution in the case of a battery-type electrode besides Dunn's equation?

"the mathematical treatment with I = k1v + k2v1/2 does not apply for faradaic/battery-type electrodes."
