Is it possible that the sucrose included in the cooling/freezing extenders modifies the osmolarity of the HOS test?

As you would use very high dilution factor, in the range of 10 uL of sample to 1000 uL of hypoosmotic solution, any possible effect of the sucrose in the extender would be diluted out and have negligible affect on the osmolarity of the solution.
