Has anybody used ECL Prime since ECL Plus has now been discontinued from Amersham?
Also, has anybody used the ECL Plus alternative from Peirce and if so what has your experience been?
We use the Peirce kit in our lab, works just as well and is cheaper

ECL Pierce Kit from Fisher is used in our lab at the last step. At first, we have 2 steps using Prime Antibody and secondary antibody for WesternBlot. It is not bad!
Thanks very much for all your suggestions. I think i'll just go with the ECL kit from Pierce.
Very happy with ECLPrime coupled with the LAS4000 CCD system. Best results we have ever had and (in my view) at least as sensitive as film. Can have very short exposure times. Obviously need to adjust for antibodies and samples, but we will stick with this. I have been western blotting for over 20 years.
So what you all say is that there is no benefit in using Pierce Super signal?
