Competitive peptide release doesn't work for GFP-trap because the affinity of the nanobody is too high. You can elute in glycin/pH2.5 followed by immediate neutralization, or you can elute in SDS sample buffer.

Better would be to introduce an enzyme cleavage site after the GFP.
