Hi there,

ECL is about luminescence only (light emission from a chemical reaction) whereas fluorescence comes from light excitation at specific wavelength. Detection/quantification of both is made through image analysis of emitted light. So I think fluorescence detection apparatus may be use for ECL (in fact it is actually used as a dark room as no excitation illumination is needed to observe light emission)
