I have used THP-1 and RAW cell line to confirm a result, however, the results differ from each other. Is this because that my THP-1 cell line was not derived from monocytes to macrophages?

The differing results would probably be because THP-1 cells are a monocyte cell line, and RAW cells are a mouse macrophage cell line. Unless you matured your THP-1 cells into macrophages, the results may not be consistent.
RAW cells is murine and is more differentiated than THP-1 cells. You could try change the RAW cells. Did you try U937 cells. It is more appropriate and it is a human lineage.

Major different in regarding inflammasome/casp1 activation. raw cells don't express ASC and therefore don't activate the inflammasome pathway.
Hi! I have an assay to do on RAW264.7 macrophages and can't find a good paper that mentions their properties. Do one of you perhaps know some article/review that describes them?
