Several disciplines converge in the study of human behavior. Mainly psychology, sociology, anthropology and biology, each of which have several approaches or paradigms to the understanding of behavior. The choice of any specific approach -or combination of approaches- depends on the goals of a particular research project.
Understanding human behavior is very difficult due to the multi dimensional, dynamic and complex nature of human needs. Needs is the driving force of human behavior. Social Science research and statistics to an extent have helped to unraveled the dynamism and complexities of human behavior, but it is grossly inefficient. This is because understanding human behavior is artistic as it requires experience, knowledge of the past and intuition.
