Is the e-learning is sufficient to the learn the student instead of traditional education?

I believe that the question is NOT simply whether to use eLearning. The question is what instructional activities will achieve the necessary outcomes? Once that has been determined, you can evaluate what technology might be able to provide those instructional activities effectively.
It is also more complex when we consider whether the entire course is delivered via eLearning, or if eLearning is is a supplement to classroom activities.
I think that the discipline being taught also makes a big difference.
I think both are important because traditional and modern one co-exist and often clash. For the purpose of development, both go side by side.

I think both are important and should not be dominated one over the other,,. There are many things that show how important this or that, like the style of education, interaction, the possibility to update, and other comparisons, it is best that from my point of view that work together.

E-learning is a charge saving teaching method which is preferred mostly by university administration in order to increase incomes. I think in case of subjects where thorough, detailed and often complicated morphological, physiological and laboratory practice and training are needed e-learning cannot be the right option. E.g. Physicians or architects cannot be trained in such a way. Another question is: how do the personality and knowledge of a teacher influence the success of learning as a process?
Dear @Andras, there is no such influence. It happens in classroom only, but not in the virtual classroom. Teachers' personality have an enormous impact to the development of students' motivation in learning.

Firstly I would like to thank you for your interesting point of discussion. I agree with Muhammad, Ljubomir and Esra’a that both methods are important and nowadays we should think seriously about e-learning. But on the other hand I agree also with Andras that a lot of universities (for example in my country) want to introduce this system of learning because of charge saving. Ljubomir said very important thought that mainly teacher’s personality has a huge impact on their students.
I am interested in e-learning because of a lot of new technical innovations which we have to implement. I wrote a series of papers connected with this subject. I like software which can be used for remote work. For example You can help your students remotely in their home if they need your help.
To sum up we should remember about physical (direct) contact teacher with student (face to face) but we cannot deny new trends in e-learning.

Of course, I have thought on the impact of personnel contacts which in e-learning is zero.
Agreed with the previous scholars' comments that both e-learning & traditional education are important & complement each others. Whether e-learning itself is sufficient or traditional education (assuming is class-room based / U-shaped class-room setting) still needed depend on the learning objective. For example, if the learning objective is focusing on learning a subject content / task, then e-learning might be sufficient. If the learning objective requires a group of students to interact / collaborate face to face in the same spot, then traditional education / learning still needed.
Reason being shared knowledge or shared mental models can be divided into 1) content / task shared mental models, and 2) interactional / group shared mental models. Content / task shared mental models can be achieved through individual learning like e-learning, internet, webinars etc. which are content specific that require less group interaction. Interactional / group shared mental models e.g. learning how to develop a business campaign / public strategies among different members in a group may be best achieved through on the spot face to face conversation / interaction or class-room based learning.
If e-learning also encompasses virtual meeting e.g. video conferencing, audio conferencing, instant messaging, emails etc capabilities, to certain extend they can help improve interactional / group shared mental models as interaction / collaboration can take place virtually. But received some verbal feedback that face to face meeting / learning is still more effective than virtual meeting / learning in which may be more research need to be conducted.
Beside learning objective, other factors or outcomes need to be considered as well e.g. total cost of ownership for each e-learning vs traditional learning, availability of teacher resources & skill set, class-room facilities, technologies etc. which might influence how a school / university determine to opt for specific or mixture of learning options / methods.
The two methods are complementary but with different weights.
The traditional method towers remain with its charm and the "magic" of the contact!
There are "waves" that travel between the professor and the student.
Never, it can not be replaced!
those methods cant be equal, for sure, from my experience: most EU students are learning much better from real time lecturing and very little (nearly nothing) from e-learning systems :)
I support opinions of Marina Valentukevičiene and others: Now, e-learning is not suitable for most of students. It can be benefitial for self-motivated people who want to get additional knowledge and skills, useful for their current or next job.
But, e-learning technology is rather primitive now, and it can be developed into something new, more suitable for the proposed tasks.
I don't think that e-learning methods can be the substitutes for traditional class room methods. A student learns lessons much better from his teacher than he does from electronic methods. Available e-materials like video lectures, videos of practical experiments etc. may induce a better understanding. But these will not be sufficient to replace teaching and laboratory sessions.

Interaction between a teacher and a learner is an important factor for quality education. This is missing in e-learning.

I would like to bring your attention to the sentence for 1st source mentioned by Lyubomir: "The study concluded that there was a significant gap between the skills desired by workplaces and what those polled had actually possessed by graduation".
It means that e-learning is expected to "repair" education obtained in University that failed to give to the students real skills and knowledge.
But, E-learning is perfectly suitable for framework of formal assessment of worker that include number of publications per year, citation index of journals for the publications, number of additional courses taken by the worker, etc.
I guess that e-learning have a real value when it does not provide certificates of education, but real knowledge.
