As i have friends in all religion, I do not want to name any religion. The numerous oppressive, blatantly unlawful activities any religion takes with their people of faith has become a breeding ground for fanaticism which incites destruction to people life and property.
The problem with most of those countries is that there is lots of restriction in expressing his /her opinion. As someone stated here, the punishment for apostasy prevents an individual from thinking process which is the cornerstone of creativity and innovation !!

The authority lies in the people and is embodied in the government. This does not mean religion goes away. Instead, secularism is a way of perceiving the world without having religion as a dominant lens

The problem is very real and fundamental. It's not for the West to say whether secularism will soon become the norm in religious societies, however not understanding just how important secularism is within Western societies can only bring distrust and strife.

The only threat would be that one religious group, with its set of rules, cannot lord over the rest of society. But is that such a threat to the society itself? Or is that only a threat to the one religious group?
The point is that secularism itself is threatening for religious societies- If secularism isnt helpful on providing an appropriate religious teaching to religious societies, those people may appear as a problem to other societies.
Therefore, proper teaching associated with belief and practice should be well provided to religious societies, especially Muslim groups. Why this issue appeared? Up to date, secularism clearly shows that not working well with Muslim societies.
I'm not sure I agree with your basic premise, that secularism itself is threatening. Having the freedom to practice any religion you want, without imposing your ideas on others who might disagree, is not a threat to society. Not by any means. I'd say more the opposite is a threat to the society.
Having said that, if the people of a given country mostly prefer it that way, far be it from me to tell them otherwise. By the same token, any attempt to impose those ideas on the West will be met with very strong resistance, and can only result in violent conflict.
On your last point, the ONLY thing secularism doesn't work well with is the idea of forcing one's beliefs down the throats of people who don't share them. That's all. There are some fringe cases even in Western countries, where for example, certain Christian sects oppose medical treatment. Such examples are quite rare, but societies do have to resolve them. For instance, what do you do with a child who needs urgent medical care, but their parents refuse it on religious grounds? Not a trivial problem, but luckily, rare. And the problem is caused only by people who are deluded enough to think that they really know, for certain, what God wants.

In fact, for me there are three types of practicing and understanding secularism: one is being unbiased to any religious group- this is fine we are all OK, second one is to limit the religious behavior- this is our concern and may cause underisably negative effects, last one is to try to spread non-religious belief and values- this is also problematic considering religious behavior and culture. Therefore, these latter two types of secularism basically is threating to religious groups and even result in problems ( in terms of behavior and attitude of religious individuals) in the future.
