The observations reveals that Vamana & Virechana Karma followed by Ayurvedic drugs is found beneficial in the patient of Psoriasis. Side by side, it also pacifies the other associated complaints of the patient. Thus, the therapeutic approach, which is used in this patient found to be very safe, cost effective and improve the overall health status of the patient. This observation is not finally conclusive but it is a lead for further study. In this regard provide us with a larger population based data on above study and give your views on the same.

Dear Ajayaji, AS you mentioned its fact that we can control the psoriasis with the help of Ayurveda In Ayurveda 20 types of Kustha are mentioned and the vitiated main dosha is Kapha. for this vaman is the basic line of treatment and the sthan of disease is skin the seat of Brajak Pitta so Virechan is a basic treatment So these Karmas helps in psorasis but in some pts Raktamokshan is also plays very impotant role. Pl diagnose with the help of Nidan Panchka and go for root cause of disease then decide about the Karmas and Ayurvedic medicine. Whatever the name of disease we dont mind but we are giving the results atleast we control the disease without side effects.Thanks
I agree with ashok g ! One case i heve seen in which after shiravedh wonderful result were there but by vamana and langhana no benifit was there at all .
Dear Kartikey, This is known as true Ayurved It is very clearly mentioned that "Rakta iti jiva" So we have to think also rakta Dhatu in not only psoriasis but in all skin diseases. In our clinical practice, after proper bio-purification regimens, we found promising results of Bhasma based prescriptions, e.g. Mall Sindura, Hartala etc along with suitable herbal adjuvants in Psoriasis. Nevertheless, appropriate diet & life style must be followed by patient, else recurrence is often the common failure found in therapy.

Thanks for your positive feedback on psoriasis. But in my experience the successful treatment & researches did not impart any major break tthrough. Although the rate of success goes in favour of Ayurveda.
