Is it possible to separate peptides and amino acids by using HPLC equipped with a UV-visible detector?
Yes. Peptides absorb from 200-230 nm, perhaps 280 nm depending on the amino acids. As for free amino acids, their absorbance depends on the amino acid, some absorb in the UV, others won't.
I want to prepare 0.05 M phosphate buffer of pH 7 from Na2HPO4 and KH2PO4. How to proceed?
