I am working on Okra, during my research work i have experienced that after inoculation of hypocotyl and cotyledonary explants into full MS medium supplemented with different PGRs, callusing starts ,with in1-1.5 month the callus became whitish compact but with the passage of time on the same medium, callus stars the light greenish color, so my question is that :

1. Is it possible that by the use of modified MS medium, may can convert the whitish, compact non-embryogenic callus to greenish , friable embryogenic callus which will more efficient for shoot induction?

(Pictures attached for reference)

Note: If you have experience in it or have read any article then kindly share with me (focusing on role of nitrogen on callus / shoots induction in MS medium )

Thanks in advance
