Poor CPU workload balancing can occur due to highly localized deformation and a constitutive law that does more or less work depending on the deformation.

Is it possible in Standard to skew domains or trick Abaqus into changing what elements are included in a domain? Abaqus supported domain tweaks seem to be just for Explicit. It looks like Abaqus groups elements by spatial coordinates. My understanding of the "parallel_standard=all" and mpi domain decomposition is that the solver and elements are decoupled; thus, it shouldn't matter if the domains are even grouped spatially. Am I missing something?
