I need to find stress intensity factors (SIF) for various crack lengths in a different location in a model. Contour Integral method needs to do refine and redo mesh again and again if we change the crack length.
Also, finding SIF in 2D XFEM is not possible in Abaqus.
Cohesive zone won't work within a single part (Of course my model has several layers, but my aim is to find SIF for a crack in a particular layer of material).
Any suggestions to deal with this kind of scenario?

You can create your model via contour integral method and automate it.
This work is done by partitioning the model by the datum planes and then changing its distances.
Also, you can modify (edit) the script of your model to parameterize it.

If the crack length is same for different location the parameter analysis may be work out. If we change the crack length the mesh will be erased and we should do the mesh again. I didnot check with partition by plane method. I will check that. Thank you very much for your help
Also, I need to specify crack interface. That can be specified with element faces and edges only.
If you know the crack propagation direction at the priory, you can use the virtual crack closure technique (VCCT) to propagate the crack. Read more about it in the Abaqus documentation.
