is it possible that the Carbon (CH) of the terminal alkyne does not appear in the NMR DEPT 135), it behaves like a quaternary carbon ?

Carbon-proton coupling constants span more than 100 Hz with an average of 145 Hz. The DEPT sequence you use is optimized for this average coupling constant. Carbon signals with couplings significantly different than 145 Hz will be attenuated in the spectrum. but alkyne carbon-hydrogen has 250 Hz because of that peak appears in small....due to noise we cant see the peaks usually.....
