Is it okay to conduct reliability test on all instead of taking a sample size from the population as representative?

According to some papers/books that I read, some researchers (Lacy & Riffe, 1996; Neuman, 2014) suggest a sample size from the population for reliability check. Is it okay to just check on all data since I only have less than 200 news articles for content analysis?
