The war between authors and academic publishing houses about research papers and Open Access were coming brewing for some time, but it has just exploded: Elsevier is asking authors to remove their articles posted online in the social networks without their permission.

The decision by Elsevier should not have been easy, and I guess they took into account their bad image that can be spread between the academic community, although I'm sure they are aware of its power and value they bring to science.

I particularly appreciate much my relationship with journals and its editors, and it never occur to me to disclose a paper without permission in violation of copyright agreements by getting a few but valuable citations, and you?
