Is is compulsory to write "acknowledgement section” in PhD thesis? please give your right comments. Is this section part of thesis?
It is customary to thank your research supervisor and others who helped you in your work. Being ungrateful is the biggest sin one can commit. Sometimes, the Acknowledgement section becomes too lengthy. Follow the practice and convention in your Institution / Department / Research Lab.

enable you to thank all those who have helped in carrying out the research. Careful thought needs to be given concerning those whose help should be acknowledged and in what order
Not compulsory, but it's good. I'm an ecologist and I also thanked the birds for dispersing seeds in my study haha

Girish Kumar Ramaiah – good one about ungratefulness! But the biggest 'sin' imo is bad grammar haha
It is just normal to appreciate those who have helped you in one way or the other during the course of your PhD research journey. I am pretty sure that your accomplishments were not achieved by your power alone but by leaning on the shoulders of giants! Therefore, it is highly imperative to appreciate those giants whose shoulders you had leaned.
In my opinion, it's compulsory, because it's show how you appreciate your advisor or funding agency that gave much help to let your research running well. You can't do/achieve it alone right? :)
It is compulsory to write the acknowledgement section in a PhD thesis as you could not have completed your research work without any form of assistance or support.

in my opinion, The acknowledgement it is most important of the thesis, because the completion of writing the thesis would not been possible without the support and encouragement of several special people as my families, my friends and my supervisor.
