I am not sure what you mean by "Multidimensional scoring method." The first thing I would do is to check the original source and find out if they proposed sub-scales, or if they included all 24 items in one scale.
If there no proposed sub-scales, then you should do Exploratory Factor Analysis to find out which items go together. If the original authors did propose sub-scales, then you should use Confirmatory Factor Analysis to determine how well your data fit the original data (in SPPS, this requires Amos).
