Teratologic Evaluations of N,N-Diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET) in Rats and Rabbits have shown that DEET is nonteratogenic
The study of Schardein performed in 1989 (unpublished) reported that: In the F1 adult males kidney effects were seen, including mottling, chronic inflammation, the presence of hyaline droplets, granular cast formation, and tubular regeneration. These kidney effects occurred in dose-related manner in all treatment groups and were characteristic of 2u-globulin nephrotoxicity.
Is insect Repellent Diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET) really nonteratogenic and safe in pregnancy?
Thanks so much for your answers? I am looking forward to hearing from you.
