Is impact factor of a journal more important than anything else? What is the role of relevance, readership, impact of your particular article etc?
Citations increases h-index, which is quite important in a CV
I think the indexing is more important.
I think in the most cases it is a good indicator of the Journal quality especially if Its SCOPUS or ISI indexed. Some journals have a fake IF.
Sure,Although a Nobel prize winner says that it is a hypothetical index ,he says that a good researcher means something new.Also we cant ignore impact factor because impact factor is count mainly when it published in indexed journal.
