Samples are collected from air sampling (high vol) from filters (quartz) and PUF, which are extracted by soxhlet in Hexane/Diethyl ether extractant solution. Moisture appears in samples like interference that is removed by anhydrous Na2SO4.

We never had matrix issues with air samples in the industrial hygeine department at my last job, but we used these SPE cartridges and this application note as a foundation for the analysis in order to minimize interferences.
