I do not use capacitance compensation at all for sodium current recording in isolated cardiomyocytes. Only series resistance compensation is used. Therefore, my recording starts with a large positive capacitive current before INa appears. I found some groups did the same thing without capacitance compensation. But I was told by different people that I should use capacitance compensation. In addition, I only found very little about capacitance compensation online. Any clarification is appreciated!
