Is BES buffer toxic? Can it be used in clinical formulations/therapies?

Hi,

I have recently been working on cell therapy research and have been using BES buffer as part of the tissue culture process. But haven't been able to find any information regarding if this could be used clinically or if it has toxic effects in human medicine. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could find more information on this?
