=> The preliminary acceptance is only upon submission of the draft abstract.
=> The book will be possibly published in second quarter of 2016.
=> There is no processing/publication fee
=> There are no page charges for black and white figures and illustrations submissions provided they are sent to Elsevier with the source files. Color illustrations are billed at the current rate.
=> An author guidelines will be sent to all authors after acceptance of the abstracts
=> In consideration of your contribution to this book, Elsevier will provide to all authors an electronic edition of the book, besides giving a 30% discount on all Elsevier Science books for life.

Actually it would fit quite good into our research (as you probably know from my profile...?!), Gurpreet Singh, but we're just preparing a Mini-Review for "Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology" with a similar content... the submission deadline is next month and in case of quick decision by the journal we could decide whether to contribute with an extended/adapted version or something like that. Dear Dhillon,
We are working with fish industry co-product. The aim is to obtain a hydrolyzate that can add value to food or feed, assisting the development of the industry that generates the waste. The analyses are still at the beginning, but I think our group can collaborate with a chapter review if this is interesting to the book.
Our group is composed by two fishing engineers, one food engineer, one agronomist engineer, a company administrator and me (microbiologist)

If your research is on value addition of protein byproducts resulting from fish industry, you are welcome to contribute a chapter on "Application of waste-derived proteins in animal Feed Industry". It would be a very interesting idea, but a lot of books exist on the topic, We already finished working on several food and wastes including fish wastes since Morocco is a bigger producer, poultry wastes (manure and slaugterhouses), animal slaughterhouses wastes, gut dressing wastes, and tannery wastes, some patens are issued on fish wastes transformation into feeds and another one on poultry wastes transformation into feeds for poultry.
You said that there is no charge for publication but you will edit a book it is not clear ; No author can accept to write a chapter in a book and consider it as a publication we have a lot of publications.
Anyway I hope your project will be achieved

@ Mohamed Faid. If you have read my question carefully, this book is specifically dealing with proteinaceous byproducts.... and the book is near production stage and will be published probably in Second or third quarter of 2016.

I am interested to contribute a chapter in the 1st theme : 1. Value addition of waste derived proteins to biofuels and biochemicals.
This chapter involves studies on production of value added proteins from algae grown in domestic wastewater. This also deals with novel way of protein quantification through IR and its future prospects.
