I think it is a good software where you will find several of the options only thing you need to do is to load your data. Its costly though but if you are used to it then one will like it more as is easy to operate. Its over rated if you are used to using free softwares but good if you are used to it and working with it always.

For that price I would take up the offer - it is good, user-friendly software. But, perhaps it is an introductory offer. Your lisence likely needs renewal after one year. What about the cost of renewal of lisence?

I strongly recommend GeneSpring for the microarray data analysis..its very user-friendly. It includes most of the aspects of the array analysis...but pathways and network analysis part is still require more up-gradation, though many portals are available for the same.

Agilent Genespring software has very nice visual, statistical and functional features and it is user-friendly, good for wet lab research microarray analysis.

Try the free trial version for 20 days and see it for yourself. The trial version has all the facilities which is there in the complete software. Download the software and request them for the software key.

But before doing analysis in Genespring, try to do preprocessing of your data using some other software like R program etc.

Its good for simple analyses, but for anything more complicated than treatment vs control at a single time point and concentration you should probably use R. The analyses are not model-based like the more advanced analyses in R. But, the user interface makes doing QC a breeze. It also has 2-way ANOVA which is good.

It does sound like a good deal (it's actually a few groups clubbing together to buy one computer license for a year, thus splitting the cost). I'm currently playing around with the free trial and will probably go for it I think.
