Acne Vulgaris is one of the most common skin diseases among adolescents. Almost every people have experience of suffering from acne. Any form of acne can lead to permanent scarring. Acne frequently associated psychological disease, such as severe depression and suicidal ideation.
In my experience acne vulgaris is not a preventabe condition beacuse mostly it is not predictable. We have to keep in mind that very mild forms of acne, which maybe could be preventable, often does not need any treatment.
It is not rare thet we have to cure more the parents than their children's acne. Anyway, there no succsessful treatment of acne, even of heavy forms, without a good patient's compliance.
Acne have for sure a great psychological impact but the question of depression and suicidal ideation is often to emphasised. The two conditions should be considered apart.
Acne can be prevented provided we find out the exact cause of acne in us. Doing meditation daily, keeping our face oil free and strict oil free diet,junk foods help preventing acne.

Yes, we believe it is preventable. We studied association of early skin inflamation in infants such as infantile atopic dermatitis(IAT) and the eitiology of later teenage development of Acne. The inflamation that had occured in IAD do lead to some degree of distortion of pillosebacious duct when healing. We recommended that early and agressive treatment of IAD would prevent or reduce severity of later Acne vulgaris. thank you
For acne, there can be two levels of prevention, a primary prevention, which does not allow the disease to occur and a secondary, which should try to conserve a therapeutic effect or reduce severity. The severe inflammation of acne is broken out (abrupt) quickly or even suddenly (usually in a few hours). P.acne and other bacteria infect acne lesion after its acute phase. I can only put forward some imagination and speculation to pathogenesis of acne. Acne patients have to avoid consuming foods consisting of too much saturated fat, such as beef, whole milk, fried food, and alcohol to prevent it relapse.
What do you mean about acne prevention? We can inhibit bacterial grows by topical or oral antibiotics, probiotic supplements, ,...
But one of important points in acne prevention is diet regimes , I experienced practically. Fried food, butter, roasted seeds, stress, vitamin B12, ... can worsen acne.
P.acne does not exist in very early acne lesion; it does not directly cause significant damage to the skin. P.acne is just the secondary pathogen, because it invade to acne lesion after follicle duct being damaged. The damage of follicle duct is caused by the abnormal inflammatory process of the immune system. How to inhibit abnormal inflammation is important in prevent acne vulgaris. Thank you ! Acne is a disease having numerous causes, hence, its exact underlying cause has to be searched prior to medication.
